CERTIFICA TE OF ACHIEVEMENT OF EXCELLENCE A WARD <br /> <br />This presentation will be presented at the next City Council Meeting. <br /> <br />B. RECOGNITION OF EMPLOYEE OF THE QUARTER <br /> <br />Public Works Secretary Leta Money was presented with a plaque and <br />recognized as the Employee of the Quarter. Plaque was presented by Public <br />Works Secretary Genitha Smith. It was noted this is Ms. Money's second time <br />to re.ceive this award. <br /> <br />6. PETITIONS, REMONSTRANCES, COMMUNICATIONS, AND <br />CITIZENS AND TAX PAYERS WISHING TO ADDRESS COUNCIL <br /> <br />Spero Pomonis, 218 Bay Colony Drive, addressed City Council regarding <br />Dolphin Pilings at the Sylvan Beach Pier. Mr. Pomonis advised City Council <br />that he strongly opposed this issue. He suggested Council consider some type of <br />temporary measure. <br /> <br />John Williamson, 10827 N. Ave. H, advised City Council that the City of La <br />Porte is being recognized and presented with a dedication at this year's events. <br />He thanked the City for everything they have done and invited everyone to <br />attend the Rodeo Association events. <br /> <br />Sydm::y Grant, 1907 Lomax Drive, requested to speak for more than five <br />minutes and City Council approved his request. Mr. Grant addressed City <br />Coundl regarding drainage problems in the Lomax area. He presented a signed <br />petition to City Council on behalf of several citizens requesting assistance. <br /> <br />Billy Stover, 1921 Laura Lane, addressed City Council regarding drainage <br />problems in the Lomax area and presented a diagram outlining areas of concern. <br />Mr. Stover requested City Council to look at this matter. <br />
