<br />e <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />City Council Meeting 10-26-98 - Page 2 <br /> <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Clarke to approve Resolution 98-11. Second by <br />Councilperson Engelken. The motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Ayes: Sutherland, Engelken, Ebow, Griffiths, Gay, Young, Clarke and Mayor Pro- <br />Tern Porter <br />Nays: None <br />Abstain: None <br /> <br />6. Council considered approving a Resolution authorizing the resale of Tax Properties to <br />Mr. Troy Guest <br /> <br />Assistant Finance Director Cynthia Alexander presented the summary and <br />recommendation information and answered Council's questions. <br /> <br />City Manager Robert T. Herrera stated that this property is owned by the La Porte <br />Independent School District and not the City. <br /> <br />Various Councilmembers had additional questions concerning this property. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Gay to ~prove Resolution 98-12. Second by <br />Councilperson Griffiths. The motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Ayes: Sutherland, Engelken, Ebow, Griffiths, Gay, Young, Clarke and Mayor Pro- <br />Tem Porter <br />Nays: None <br />Abstain: None <br /> <br />7. Council considered approving a Resolution Calling for the January 16, 1999 Election. <br /> <br />Assistant Finance Director Cynthia Alexander presented the summary and <br />recommendation information and answered Council's questions. <br /> <br />City Attorney Knox Askins brought forth information concerning the Resolution and <br />answered Councils questions. <br /> <br />City Manager Robert T. Herrera answered Councils questions. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Ebow to CUJ"prove Resolution 98-13. Second by <br />Councilperson Engelken. The motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Ayes: Sutherland, Engelken, Ebow, Griffiths, Gay, Young, Clarke and Mayor Pro- <br />Tem Porter <br />Nays: None <br />Abstain: None <br />
