<br />THE STATE OF TEXAS ) <br /> <br />COUNTY OF HARRIS ) <br /> <br />CITY OF LA PORTE ) <br /> <br />NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING <br /> <br />In accordance with the provisions of Section 106-171 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of La <br />Porte and the provisions of the Texas Local Government Code, notice is hereby given that the La <br />Porte City Council will conduct a public hearing at 6:00 P.M. on the 12th day of December, 2005, <br />in the Council Chambers of City Hall, 604 West Fairmont Parkway, La Porte, Texas. The purpose <br />of this hearing is to consider Special Conditional Use Permit #SCU05-008(amending #SCU05-004) <br />requested for 28.5 acres ofland out of 107.16 acre tract ofland located south of McCabe Road and <br />the easterly right-of-way line of State Highway 146; being TRS 8, 8A, 5F, 5F-l, 49, 49A, 9B, 10, <br />and 11 of the W. P. Harris Survey, Abstract 30, La Porte, Harris County, Texas. The applicant, <br />Robert Burchfield, of Burchfield Development, L.P., seeks to develop single-family residential, <br />townhomes, multi-family, and commercial/retail in the Planned Unit Development (PUD) zoning <br />district. In accordance with Section 106-216 of the Code of Ordinances, a Special Conditional Use <br />Permit is required for development in the PUD district. <br /> <br />A regular meeting of the City Council will follow the public hearing.
