<br />ORDINANCE NO. 2004-2801-A <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 2004-2801, RELATING TO THE <br />CREATION OF THE MAIN STREET ADVISORY BOARD, BY REDUCING THE NUMBER <br />OF MEMBERS TO THE MAIN STREET ADVISORY BOARD FROM ELEVEN (11) TO <br />NINE (9) 7 FINDING COMPLIANCE WITH THE OPEN MEETINGS LAW 7 AND <br />PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE: <br /> <br />Section 1. The City Council of the city of La Porte hereby <br /> <br />amends Ordinance No. 2004-2801, relating to the creation of the <br /> <br />Main street Advisory Board, by changing the number of members <br /> <br />appointed to said Board, as herein provided. <br /> <br />The Board shall <br /> <br />consist of nine (9) members, who need not be residents of the city <br /> <br />of La Porte. The members shall be appointed by City Council for <br /> <br />staggered three (3) year terms. <br /> <br />positions 1, 2, and 3, shall <br /> <br />expire August 31, 2005. <br /> <br />positions 4, 5, 6, and 7, shall expire <br /> <br />August 31, 2006. positions 8 and 9, shall expire August 31, 2007. <br />Ex Officio members shall include the City of La Porte's Main Street <br /> <br />Coordinator i the City Manager of the city of La Porte or her <br /> <br />designee i and the Manager of the La Porte-Bayshore Chamber of <br /> <br />Commerce. <br /> <br />Section 2. The Board shall elect its Chairman, Vice Chairman, <br /> <br />and Secretary. The Board shall meet when called by its Chairman, <br />or the City's Main street Coordinator. <br /> <br />Section 3. <br /> <br />The City Council officially finds, determines, <br /> <br />recites, and declares that a sufficient written notice of the date, <br /> <br />hour, place and subject of this meeting of the City Council was <br /> <br />posted at a place convenient to the pUblic at the city Hall of the <br />City for the time required by law preceding this meeting, as <br />required by the Open Meetings Law, Chapter 551, Texas Government <br />
