Phase I of the Project will complete the <br />installation of new waterlines for the area, including lines along Bayer, Hillsdale, Montgomery, <br />Catlett, Belfast and Creel Court. Phase II (scheduled for FY 2007-08) will reroute water services <br />from the rear to the front of each residence. <br />The Engineer (formerly Wayne Smith Engineering) recently designed the Bay Area Blvd. Trunk <br />Sewer Project. Additionally, the firm has municipal experience with rerouting private service <br />lines for public agencies. The Agreement with the Engineer is as follows: <br />Preliminary/Design Phase $31,120 <br />Bidding Phase 2,460 <br />Construction Phase 2,770 <br />Total Basic Services $36,350 <br />Additional Services (Survey) $14,500 <br />TOTAL ENGINEERING <br />$50,850 <br />Action Required by Council: Approve Ordinance authorizing the City Manager to execute an <br />agreement with LJA Engineering & Surveying, Inc. to provide professional engineering services <br />for waterline installation in the amount of $50,850. <br />Approved for City Council Agenda <br />('.�47 - " O// p <br />Jo Joern , rim ity Manager Da e <br />
