Reverend Wayne Spears of Fairmont Park Baptist Church delivered the invocation. <br /> <br />3. Mayor Malone led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> <br />4. PRESENTATIONS/PROCLAMATIONS <br /> <br />A. Mayor Malone presented Kerron Clement with a proclamation for his excellence and <br />outstanding merits in track. <br /> <br />B. Mayor Malone presented Waymona Scott with a proclamation for her excellence and <br />outstanding merits in track. <br /> <br />5. PETITIONS, REMONSTRANCES, COMMUNICATIONS, AND CITIZENS AND <br />TAXPAYERS WISHING TO ADDRESS CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />Manuel Castillo of 3874 Pecan Circle, La Porte, Texas, representing the Independent <br />Electrical Contractors Association, stated his opposition to changing the current NEC code <br />to a different electrical code. <br /> <br />Dave Turnquist of2107 North Austin Avenue, Pearland, Texas, informed Council of the <br />Junior PGA Golf Tournament will be held at Bay Forest in La Porte. <br />
