Council to consider approval or other action authorizing the City Manager to approve an <br />Ordinance (2008-3065), a contract for services of C & W to represent the City in the sale of <br />noted properties. <br /> <br />Assistant City Manager John Joerns presented summary and recommendation and answered <br />Council's questions. <br /> <br />Assistant City Attorney read Ordinance 2000-3065 - AN ORDINANCE APPROVING <br />AND AUTHORIZING AN ENCLUSIVE RIGHT TO SELL CONTRACT BETWEEN <br />CITY OF LA PORTE AND CUSHMAN AND WAKEFIELD OF TEXAS, INC., FOR THE <br />EXCLUSIVE RIGHT TO SELL CERTAIN REAL PROPERTIES OWNED BY THE CITY <br />OF LA PORTE, MAKING VARIOUS FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATING TO <br />THE SUBJECT, FINDING COOMPLIANCE WITH THE OPEN MEETINGS LAW, AND <br />PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Councilmember Ebow to approve the Ordinance as presented by Mr. <br />Joerns. Second by Councilmember Engelken.
