Criminal Justice Division , GRANTEE ACCEPTANCE NOTICE I AGREEMENT: That whereas City of La Porte hereinafter referred to as Grantee, has heretofore submitted a grant application to the Governor's Office, State of Texas, entitled Kindergarten - 4!=h Grade D.A.R.E. Expansiotif..1 and further identified by gr.mt number -5.F::-2.3::5.1.1:-,547 0 . Whereas, the Governor of the State of Texas has approved the grant application as evidenced by the Statement of Grant A ward from the Governor's Office dated ,..sEP--D-1.. 1992 which contained certain special requirements. Whereas, the Grantee desires to accept the grant award, the Uniform Grant and Contract Management Standards, and special requirements as evidenced by the Statement of Grant Award, Now, therefore, the Grantee accepts the aforementioned Statement of Grant Aw~d, the Uniform Grant aild Contr.lct Management Standards and special requirements in the grant application and the Statement of Grant AW'cll'd as evidenced by this agreement executed by the project director, financial officer" and the official authorized to sign the original grant application, !lr the official's successor, as presiding officer of and on behalf of the governing body of this b'lantee. Now, therefore, the Grantee shall designate either the project director or f"mancial officer to coordinate . and be solely responsible for submission of adjustments pertaining to both programs and financial elements of . the application, the position authorized to submit adjustments is F ; t\~ i\ c.~ a.. \ O~ ~ ~e. \ .'. NON-LOBBYING CERTIFICATION: We, the undersigned, certify that none of the grant funds, regardless of their source or character, including local cash assumption of cost funds, shall be used in 'any manner to' influence "the outcome of any election or the pa~ge or defeat of any legislative me~sure. " A finding that a grantee has violated this certification shall result in the immediate termination of funding of the project and the grantee shall not be eligible for future funding froin the' Governor's Office, Crimlnal.
