vv l— <br />ORDINANCE NO. *0'0-#-3090-A <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE LAND SALE <br />CONTRACTS AND RELATED DOCUMENTS, AS PART OF THE H.O.M.E. PROGRAM <br />YEAR 2006 NORTHSIDE NEIGHBORHOOD SINGLE FAMILY CONSTRUCTION <br />PROJECT, BETWEEN THE CITY OF LA PORTE AND BUYERS OF PROPERTIES AT <br />224 NORTH 6TH STREET, ALSO DESCRIBED AS LOTS 3 AND 4, BLOCK 66y 211 <br />NORTH 1ST STREET, ALSO DESCRIBED AS LOTS 23 AND 24, BLOCK 621 207 <br />NORTH 2ND STREET, ALSO DESCRIBED AS LOTS 21, 22, AND 23, BLOCK 631 <br />AND 216 NORTH 2ND STREET, ALSO DESCRIBED AS LOTS 3 AND 4, BLOCK 62, <br />AT SUCH TIME AS BUYERS ARE LOCATEDY MAKING VARIOUS FINDINGS AND <br />PROVISIONS RELATING TO THE SUBJECTI CONTAINING A REPEALING CLAUSEI <br />FINDING COMPLIANCE WITH THE OPEN MEETINGS LAW1 AND PROVIDING AN <br />EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE: <br />Section 1. The City Council hereby approves and authorizes <br />the contract, agreement, or other undertaking described in the <br />title of this ordinance, in substantially the form as shown in the <br />documents which are attached hereto and incorporated herein by this <br />reference. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute land <br />sale contracts and related documents on behalf of the City of La <br />Porte, with buyers of properties located at 224 North 6th Street, <br />211 North 1st Street, 207 North 2nd Street, and 216 North 2nd <br />Street, at such time as buyers of said properties are located and <br />agree to purchase same from the City. The authority given to the <br />City Manager to execute the agreements and related documents <br />approved by this ordinance shall expire one hundred eighty (180) <br />days from its passage and approval. The City Secretary is hereby <br />authorized to attest to all such signatures and to affix the seal <br />of the City to all such documents. <br />Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances inconsistent <br />with the terms of this ordinance are hereby repealed; provided, <br />however, that such repeal shall be only to the extent of such <br />inconsistency and in all other respects this ordinance shall be <br />cumulative of other ordinances regulating and governing the subject <br />matter covered by this ordinance. <br />
