Fairmont Parkway <br />La Porte, Texas 77571 <br /> <br />APR 03 2009 <br />CITY MANAGER'S <br />OFFICE <br /> <br />RE: First Quarterly Report - Application No. HDM-09-246 <br /> <br />Dear Mr. Bottoms: <br /> <br />As a recipient of funds from the Texas Department of Agriculture's (1DA) Texans Feeding Texans: <br />Home-Delivered Meal Grant Program (HDM). you are required to provide IDA with quarterly <br />expenditure reports during the grant year. The first quarterly report is due Monday, June 1,2009. The <br />required report form is enclosed. Organizations that serve meals in multiple counties must submit separate <br />reports for each county. <br /> <br />While the IDA grant you received is based in part on the number oflocally funded meals you served last <br />year, it is not a reimbursement for those meals. Please be aware, the term of your 2009 grant agreement is <br />February 1,2009 through January 31,2010 and expenditures listed on this quarterly report should have <br />been incurred from February 1,2009 - April 30,2009. Do not report all expenditures, only those related <br />to IDA grant funds. It is the organization's responsibility to retain itemized records showing your <br />expenditures. Expenditures reported as a per-meal rate are not acceptable. <br /> <br />Please keep in mind that the purpose of this grant money is to supplement and extend existing services <br />related directly to the delivery of meals to "Homebound Elderly persons and Homebound persons with a <br />Disability" (Title 4, Part 1, Chapter 1, ~ 1.960). In addition to expenditure information, we would like <br />each organization to report how they utilized their HDM funds.
