<br />ORDINANCE NO. 3/5 q <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE LAND SALE CONTRACTS AND <br />RELATED DOCUMENTS, AS PART OF THE H.O.M.E. PROGRAM YEAR 2006 NORTHSIDE <br />NEIGHBORHOOD SINGLE FAMILY CONSTRUCTION PROJECT, BETWEEN THE CITY OF LA PORTE <br />AND BUYERS OF PROPERTIES AT 224 NORTH 6TH STREET, ALSO DESCRIBED AS LOTS 3 AND 4, <br />BLOCK 66, 211 NORTH 1ST STREET, ALSO DESCRIBED AS LOTS 23 AND 24, BLOCK 62, 207 <br />NORTH 2ND STREET, ALSO DESCRIBED AS LOTS 21, 22, AND 23, BLOCK 63, AND 216 NORTH 2ND <br />STREET, ALSO DESCRIBED AS LOTS 3 AND 4, BLOCK 62, AT SUCH TIME AS BUYERS ARE <br />LOCATED, MAKING VARIOUS FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATING TO THE SUBJECT, <br />CONTAINING A REPEALING CLAUSE, FINDING COMPLIANCE WITH THE OPEN MEETINGS LAW, <br />AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCil OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE: <br /> <br />Section 1. <br /> <br />The City Council hereby approves and authorizes the contract, <br /> <br />agreement, or other undertaking described in the title of this ordinance, in substantially the <br /> <br />form as shown in the documents which are attached hereto and incorporated herein by this <br /> <br />reference. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute land sale contracts and related <br /> <br />documents on behalf of the City of la Porte, with buyers of properties located at 224 North 6th <br /> <br />Street, 211 North 1st Street, 207 North 2nd Street, and 216 North 2nd Street, at such time as <br /> <br />buyers of said properties are located and agree to purchase same from the City. The authority <br /> <br />given to the City Manager to execute the agreements and related documents approved by this <br /> <br />ordinance shall expire three hundred sixty five (365) days from its passage and approval. The <br /> <br />City Secretary is hereby authorized to attest to all such signatures and to affix the seal of the <br /> <br />City to all such documents. <br /> <br />Section 2. <br /> <br />All ordinances or parts of ordinances inconsistent with the terms of this <br /> <br />ordinance are hereby repealed; provided, however, that such repeal shall be only to the extent <br /> <br />1 <br />
