<br />ORDINANCE NO. 2010- ~~, <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 70, RTRAFFIC AND VEHICLESR, ARTICLE <br />VI, RTRUCK ROUTES AND GROSS WEIGHT LIMITSR BY AMENDING SECTION 70- <br />231, RDESIGNATIONR, BY ADDING NORTH 8TH STREET, FROM BARBOURS CUT <br />BOULEVARD, TO A POINT 300 HUNDRED FEET NORTH OF THE NORTH RIGHT-OF- <br />WAY LINE OF BARBOURS CUT BOULEVARD, PROVIDING THAT ANY PERSON <br />VIOLATING THE TERMS OF THIS ORDINANCE SHALL BE DEEMED GUILTY OF A <br />MISDEMEANOR AND UPON CONVICTION SHALL BE FINED IN A SUM NOT TO <br />EXCEED FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS, CONTAINING A REPEALING CLAUSE, <br />CONTAINING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE, PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION OF THE <br />CAPTION HEREOF, FINDING COMPLIANCE WITH THE OPEN MEETINGS LAW, AND <br />PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE: <br /> <br />Section 1. Chapter 70, "Traffic and Vehicles", Article VI, <br /> <br />"Truck Routes and Gross Weight Limits", <br /> <br />Section 70-231, <br /> <br />"Designation", is hereby amended by adding thereto, the following <br /> <br />route, to-wit: <br /> <br />"Sec. 70-231. Designation. <br /> <br />Route <br /> <br />Exten t <br /> <br />North 8th Street <br /> <br />Barbours Cut Boulevard to a point 300 <br />feet north of the north right-of-way line <br />of Barbours Cut Boulevard" <br /> <br />section 70-231, "Designation", as hereby amended, shall remain <br /> <br />in full force and effect. <br /> <br />Section 2. Any person, as defined in Section 1.07(27), Texas <br />Penal Code, who shall violate any provision of the ordinance, shall <br />be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction shall be <br />punished by a fine not to exceed Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00). <br /> <br />Section 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict <br /> <br />herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict only. <br /> <br />Section 4. If any section, sentence, phrase, clause, or any <br /> <br /> <br />part of any section, sentence, phrase, or clause, of this Ordinance <br /> <br />shall, for any reason, be held invalid, such invalidity shall not <br />
