This upgrade is consistent with the complexities and responsibilities of the assignment in question, which is customarily filled by supervisory level personnel in the overwhelming majority of law enforcement agencies. The cost of up -grading this position is anticipated to be approximately $3,864 for the remainder of the fiscal year and would be absorbed by the Police Department's existing budget. Up -grading this position will require an amendment to City Ordinance 1285 (3194).
