RESOLUTION NO. 2019-06 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER AND THE <br />LA PORTE POLICE DEPARTMENT TO SUBMIT AN APPLICATION FOR THE VICTIM COORDINATOR AND LIAISON GRANT <br />(VCLG) FOR FISCAL YEARS 2019 AND 2020 IN ORDER TO CONTINUE PARTIAL FUNDING FOR THE CRIME VICTIM LIAISON <br />POSITION, AND ADOPT RESOLUTION 2019-06 IN SUPPORT OF SAME. <br />Legal Name of Applicant: City of La Porte <br />Unique Application Number: 2020-00159 <br />WHEREAS, The City of La Porte has applied for or wishes to apply to the Office of the Attorney General <br />(OAG) for the Victim Coordinator and Liaison Grant (VCLG); <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of The City of La Porte has considered and supports the Application filed or to <br />be filed with the Office of the Attorney General; and <br />WHEREAS, The City of La Porte has designated or wishes to designate Corby Alexander, City Manager, as <br />the "Authorized Official" who is given or has been given the power to apply for, accept, reject, alter or <br />terminate the Victim Coordinator and Liaison Grant (VCLG) with the Office of the Attorney General (OAG), <br />as well as given the authority to sign all grant adjustment requests, inventory reports, progress reports, <br />and financial reports or any other official documents related to the grant on behalf of the grantee. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that The City of La Porte City Council approves submission of the <br />application for the Victim Coordinator and Liaison Grant to the Office of the Attorney General as well as <br />the designation of the Authorized Official. <br />PASSED AND APPROVED this day of 12019. <br />By: <br />
