ORDINANCE NO. 2011 -3322 <br /> AN ORDINANCE APPOINTING A RE- DISTRICTING COMMITTEE, AND <br /> ESTABLISHING ITS POWERS AND DUTIES; FINDING COMPLIANCE WITH THE <br /> OPEN MEETINGS LAW; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE: <br /> Section 1. The City Council of the City of La Porte hereby <br /> appoints the following residents of the City of La Porte to a Re- <br /> Districting Committee, to -wit: <br /> Chairperson: Charles Harrington <br /> District 1: Nolan Allen <br /> District 2: <br /> District 3: <br /> District 4: Mark Follis <br /> District 5: Paul Berner <br /> District 6: <br /> Position A: Charles Montgomery <br /> Position B: <br /> Alternate 1: <br /> Alternate 2: <br /> Alternate 3: <br /> The Chairman shall appoint alternates as required to establish <br /> a quorum at any meeting. <br /> Section 2. Following publication of the 2010 Federal Census, <br /> the Re- Districting Committee shall conduct an investigation and <br /> determine the population of the City, and the population of each of <br /> the districts from which district Councilpersons are elected. Each <br /> such determination shall be based upon the best available data, <br /> including, but not limited to, the 2010 Federal Census. Each such <br />
