The City's matching share will be $50,000. The attached resolution outlines the detailed scope of work, developed in cooperation with the Airport Advisory Board, and presented to state officials on January 16, 2004, as well as authorizing the City Manager to execute all contracts and agreements with the State on behalf of the City. The projects identified include replacement of Runway/Taxiway lighting (underground wiring), fencing and gate improvements (including motorized gates), and overlay and seal coating of taxiways and ramps. The scope of work is detailed in the attached resolution. The Resolution also names TexDOT as its agent for applying, receiving and disbursing all funds for the improvements and for the administration of contracts. Funding for the City's 10% share ($50,000) is available in the Airport Fund. A total of$30,000 has been budgeted in the Airport Fund. Action Required bv Council: Approve Resolution authorizing the City Manager to execute all contracts and agreements with the State of Texas, and such other parties as shall be necessary for the implementation of the improvements to the La Porte Municipal Airport.
