CALL TO ORDER—Mayor Pro-Tem Bentley called the meeting to order at 3:00 p.m. <br /> 2. CITIZEN COMMENT (Generally limited to five minutes per person; in accordance with state law, the time may be <br /> reduced if there is a high number of speakers or other considerations.) <br /> Chuck Rosa spoke in opposition to the extension of the disaster declaration and any postponement of the May 2, <br /> 2020, election. <br /> 3. STATUTORY AGENDA <br /> (a) Presentation, discussion, and possible action to approve the extension of the March 13, 2020 Disaster <br /> Declaration for the City of La Porte, Texas, resulting from COVID-19 (novel coronavirus). [Corby <br /> Alexander, City Manager] <br /> Councilperson Gillett moved to approve the Extension of Disaster Declaration [extending the disaster <br /> declaration] issued by the Mayor on March 13, 2020, amended to continue until April 3, 2020, at midnight, <br /> unless renewed by the City Council, the motion was adopted, 6-0. <br /> 4.
