"."N. ht <br />VACANT <br />AUGUST 9, 2021 <br />W11011101"0110=11 *11, <br />BILL BENTLEY, ALTERNATE <br />COUNCILPERSON <br />The Drainage and Flooding Committee of the City of La Porte met on Monday, August 9, <br />2021, at the City Hall Council Chambers, 604 West Fairmont Parkway, La Porte, Texas, at <br />5:00 p.m. to consider the following items of business: <br />Committee Members present: Jay Martin, Chuck Engelken, Bill Bentley (alternate) <br />Committee Members attending remotely: None <br />Committee Members absent: None <br />Council -appointed officers present: Corby Alexander, City Manager (attended remotely); Lee <br />Woodward, City Secretary; Clark T. Askins, Assistant <br />City Attorney <br />CALL TO ORDER — Chairman Martin called the meeting to order at 5:�00 p.m. <br />2. CITIZEN COMMENT (Generally limited to five minutes per person, / I n accordance with state, <br />law, the time may be reduced if there is a high number of speakers or other considerations.) <br />There were no citizen comments. <br />3. STATUTORY AGENDA <br />a. Presentation, discussion, and possible action to approve the minutes of the <br />June 14, 2021, meeting. [chairman Martin] <br />Member Enqelken moved to approve the minutes; the motion was seconded by Member <br />Bentley, the, motion was adopted, 3-0. <br />b. Presentation, discussion, and possible action regarding status of drainage <br />infrastructure project for property near the Pasadena Convention Center, under <br />terms of the interlocal agreement between the City of La Porte and the City of <br />Pasadena. [Lorenzo Wingate, Assistant Director of Public Works] <br />Lorenzo Wingate, Assistant Public Works Director, said negotiations with the consultant <br />on the proposal have begun and staff review was expected to be complete by the end' of <br />the week, <br />c. Presentation, discussion, and possible action regarding the Harris County Flood <br />Control District's (HCFCD) and Harris County Precinct 2s current and future plans <br />related to flooding in the City of La Porte. [Lorenzo Wingate, Assistant Director of <br />Public Works] <br />Lorenzo Wingate, Assistant Public Works Director, announced that applications had been <br />submitted to Harris County Precinct 2, regarding a partnership and interlocall agreement <br />on Bays0e Terrace and Brookglen, to be considered by the Harris County Commissioners <br />Court in September. <br />d. Presentation, discussion, and possible action regarding the status of current <br />drainage projects.
