Section 2. The Property is determined to be 1) surplus property of no economic or <br />public benefit to the public and 2) of irregular shape and small size relative to other lots in the <br />same subdivision the Property and that as a result cannot be independently developed under current <br />zoning and property development regulations of the City. <br />Section 3. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute any and all documents <br />necessary to accomplish the sale of the Property, near the corner of 17"' Street and West Main <br />Street and legally described as a tract or parcel of land out of Lots 1, 2 and 3, Block 726, Townsite <br />of LaPorte, as recorded in Volume 58, Page 462, Deed Records of Harris County, Texas in Harris <br />County, Texas, to Parker Joffiion, the current owner of abutting property located at 116 S. 17`h <br />Street, La Porte, Texas, for a price of no less than $20,000.00. <br />Section 4. The City Council officially finds, determines, recites and declares that a <br />sufficient written notice of the date, hour, place and subject of this meeting of the City Council is <br />posted at a place convenient to the public at the City Hall of the city for the time required by law <br />preceding this meeting, as required by Chapter 551, Tx. Gov't Code; and that this meeting has <br />been open to the public as required by law at all times during which this ordinance and the subject <br />matter thereof has been discussed, considered and formally acted upon. The City Council further <br />ratifies, approves and confirms such written notice and the contents and posting thereof. <br />Section 5.
