RESOLUTION 2022-15 <br />WHEREAS, the City of La Porte foreclosed on a property ("the property") through a delinquent tax <br />lawsuit and judgment identified as follows: <br />LOT 1, W BLOCK 87 OF BAYFRONT TO LA PORTE, CITY OF LA PORTE, HARRIS <br />COUNTY, TEXAS. (ACCOUNT # 006-177-000-0001) <br />WHEREAS, the City of La Porte remains unpaid after exhausting all legal means to satisfy the collection <br />of the delinquent taxes due and owing to the City of La Porte, including conducting a public auction of <br />the property by the Harris County Sheriff whereby the property was struck off to the City of La Porte and; <br />WHEREAS, being no bids for the property at the tax sale on October 6, 2006, the City of La Porte now <br />holds the property in trust to secure the payment of taxes, penalties, interest and costs owed to the City of <br />La Porte; <br />WHEREAS, the property held in trust by the City of La Porte is exempt from taxation and it is in the best <br />interest of the City of La Porte to have the property returned to the active tax roll as a taxable property; <br />WHEREAS, the City of La Porte has received an offer of $11,234.03 to purchase the property from BP <br />Coastal Builders & Developers, LLC. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED by the City of La Porte: <br />That all of the above paragraphs are true, correct and in the best interest of the City of La Porte <br />and as such they are hereby incorporated in full and made a part of this Resolution; <br />2. That the City of La Porte accepts the tax resale offer by BP Coastal Builders & Developers, LLC <br />and authorizes the City Manager of the City of La Porte to sign and execute the deed on behalf of <br />the City of La Porte to transfer title to the person submitting the offer to purchase the property. <br />`1�k l <br />APPROVED, PASSED AND ORDERED this the NP day of 1 �— , 2022. <br />ATTEST: <br />APPROVED AS TO FORM: <br />CLARK T.
