Area Map <br /> <br />Budgeted Item: _YES ...x......NO <br /> <br />SUMMARY & RECOMMENDATION <br /> <br />Aztron Chemical Services in Bayport North Industrial Park, has recently approached the City for water and sanitary <br />sewer service to serve the site located at 4530 New West Drive. <br /> <br />Council has approved a policy to provide utility services to companies located outside city limits and within the City's <br />industrial districts. These companies are required to maintain a current Industrial District Agreement with the City, <br /> <br />Aztron Chemical Services desires to pursue water and sanitary sewer service under the terms of the policy. Based on <br />the company's stated demand for domestic and industrial process uses, the average daily demand for water is 2,300 <br />gallons per day (550 gpd for domestic + 1,750 gpd for industrial processes). This demand includes utilization of water <br />for the building's fire sprinkler system and landscape irrigation, The applicant will pay one and one-half (1-Y2) times <br />the City's current utility rate, Aztron Chemical Services is subject to an administrative fee in the amount of $5,000 for <br />its Water Service Agreement aM $5000 for its Sanitary Sewer Service agreement. Payment has subsequently been <br />received in the amount of $10,000. <br /> <br />The tenns of Aztron's Water Service and Sanitary Sewer Service Agreements expire on December 31, 2007 as does the <br />term of its Industrial District Agreement. However, the agreements shall automatically expire at such time as there is <br />no effective Industrial District Agreement between the parties or if the city exercises the right of tennination. <br /> <br />Staff recommends approval of the Industrial District Agreement, Water Service Agreement and Sanitary Sewer Service <br />Agreement as submitted herein. <br /> <br />Action Reauired bv Council: <br />Consider approval of an ordinance authorizing the City to enter into an Industrial District Agreement and an ordinance <br />authorizing the City to execute a Water Service Agreement and Sanitary Sewer Service Agreement with Aztron <br />Chemical Services, <br /> <br />Aoproved for City Council Al!enda <br /> <br /> <br />~~!i!~~ <br /> <br />(p ~ ~O f <br /> <br />Date <br />
