Motion Carried. <br /> <br />Ayes: Commissioners Warren, LaCour, Hoot, Follis, Earp, Bird, and Lawler <br />Nays: None <br /> <br />Open Workshop to discuss request for expansion of revitalizationfor <br />10. <br />proposed multi-family development by Bonner Carrington. <br /> <br />Planning Director Tim Tietjens presented the staff report. Bonner Carrington is proposing to develop a <br />tax credit multi-family senior project along Canada Road and is requesting the Cir <br />designating the subject tract of land as a revitalization area in the Comprehensive PlanCity Council is <br />currently reviewing an update to the Comprehensive Plan. <br /> <br />Stuart Shaw, President of Bonner Carrington, provided the Commission a product brochure and <br />offered the following information about the project: <br /> <br />The proposed development, Mariposa Apartment Homes at Pecan Park, is a 180-unit, 1 & 2 <br />bedroom, tax credit, multi-family senior project to be located along Canada Road. <br />25 million dollar investment in the community. <br />Prospective tenants will be from lower-middle class to middle class, 55 years and older; no <br />children. <br />12-13 years experience developing this type of project throughout Texas and in the Houston <br />area. <br />Received full support from the Pecan Crossing neighborhood group. <br />Project will be developed with long term ownership and maintenance in mind. <br /> <br />
