<br />e <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />4.0 OPERATIONAL mRK PLAN <br />4.1 OVe:r:view <br />Transportation se:r:vices will be delivered to a ridership of <br />approximately 800 persons rronth1y on a demand response - sub- <br />scription basis. The resident requesting se:r:vice IlUlst tele- <br />phone the Dispatch Office at least twenty-four (24) hours be- <br />fore actual appointrrent or trip time. The dispatcher will <br />schedule pick-up by grouping similar tirres, destinations, lo- <br />cales and adjacent pick-up areas. The vans will pick-up resi- <br />dents at their horre, transport them on a scheduled basis and <br />pick-up for return by the sarre nethoc1. Emergency situations <br />which fall outside of the regular 24-hour notice, demand re- <br />sponse basis will be treated on a case-by-case basis. <br />4.2 Operations <br />Se:r:vice Area Boundaries generally will be the La Porte area, <br />however will be specifically defined IlUltua11y between the <br />City of La Porte and BCD!. Routes will be listed and displayed <br />daily at the Dispatch Office and compiled in the rrost efficient <br />configuration to se:r:ve the requested calls. Rider eligibility <br />will priITari1y be within OMB low-incorre guidelines with emphasis <br />on persons over 60 years of age and any other criteria establish- <br />ed by the City of La Porte. Trip response will be predominately <br />confined to Medical facilities, social se:r:vice providers, pharma- <br />cies, and shopping areas. Trips to enrichment/cultural activities <br />will as10 be provided on a planned basis. <br />
