The sergeants report directly to <br />lieutenants in the Police Administration Division. <br /> <br />The Criminal Investigation Division is responsible for conducting follow up <br />investigations of all reported crimes against persons and property. <br />Implementation of this action requires the preparation of complete and <br />accurate criminal case folders, for prosecution by the District Attorney. <br />Additionally, this Division provides professional and expert testimony in <br />criminal trials. <br /> <br />The goals of the Criminal Investigation Division for the current year are: <br />1. Continue to increase the case clearance rate. <br /> <br />A. Review information gathering techniques and revise if necessary. <br /> <br />2. Increase working relations with other agencies. <br /> <br />3. Increase stolen property recovery rates in conjunction with crime <br />prevention. <br /> <br />13 <br />
