<br />~ <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />Fire Prevention Education Programs Four Fire <br />Preventions programs, reaching 1,845 people, were presented <br />during the quarter. <br /> <br />Fire Prevention Inspections 45 inspections of <br />businesses, day care centers, schools, and nursing homes were <br />conducted during this quarter. <br /> <br />EKS DIVISION <br /> <br />Alarm Response: <br /> <br />The past quarter saw an increase in the number' of <br />responses with a total of 418 for the quarter. <br /> <br />This increase was an 8 percent rise over the same period <br />of 1990 and a 46 percent increase over the last five years <br />average for this time of year. <br /> <br />The division responded to a total of 1,752 alarms for the <br />calendar year. This is a 13 percent increase over last year <br />and a 43 percent increase over the five year average. <br /> <br />Other Activities: <br /> <br />Toys for Tots - The division did an outstanding job of <br />administering the Toys for Tots program. <br /> <br />CPR Classes - 30 people were trained in CPR this quarter. <br /> <br />.. <br /> <br />Goal setting - The division had a meeting to set activity <br />goals for 1991. <br /> <br />LEPC Drill - This division also took an active role in <br />the LEPC drill. <br /> <br />16 <br />
