Box,ll15 La Porte, Texas 77571 Re: 'Lots 9 through 24, Block '164, Town of La Porte, Harris County, Texas Gentlemen: In connection with the purchase by the City of La Porte of the above' described' property for a Pqlice Administration Building, I enclose herewith-Deed from N77, Ltd., to the City of La Porte, dated September 1" 1977, recorded under' Harris County Clerk's File No. F284679i and USLife Title Insurance Company of Dallas OWner's Policy of Ti tIe Insurance in' the 'amount of $380,000.00, on: the subject property, showing that the City of La Porte has good fee simple title to the property, subject only to the matters shown on t~e title report. In that connection, I enclose h~rewith Agreement between'the City of La Porte, and N77,.Ltd., concerning a mutual driveway and parking easement on the North portion of this ,prop~rty,' which Agreement is likewise dated September 1, 1977, and was record~d under Harris County Clerk's 'File No. F284677.' The use of said property is 'subject to this agreement. All taxes were pai~ at the time of closing, and also, the portion of the taxes 'due fbr,l977j' prior" to the time'the City, of L~ Porte purchased the,property; was paid at closing, and letters have been written ,to the respective taxing agencies, instructing them to place this property on their tax rolls in the name of the City of La Porte as exempt from taxation.
