Herrera <br />City Manager <br />City of LaPorte <br />City Hall <br />LaPorte, Texas <br /> <br />Re: Lots 9 and 10, Block 1249 <br />Town of LaPorte <br /> <br />Dear aob: <br /> <br />In connection with this purchase by the City of LaPorte, I enclose herewith the <br />City's original Deed, fran Audrey Moody Ley, Et AI, which has been recorded under <br />Harris County Clerk's file No. K86l818 and the, City'S OWner Title policy in the <br />amount of the purchase price, $1,600.00, subject only to the matters shown <br />thereon. <br /> <br />The original Deed and Title Policy should be put in. the City's pennanent Real <br />Estate Records. <br /> <br />The foilowing additional steps should be taken by the City': <br /> <br />1) The City was credited with tax proration to the date of the Deed, , <br />September 20, 1986, at closing. The City should obtain 1986 tax bills, when <br />available, from each of the taxing agencies, on a prorated <br />basis fran January 1, 1986 through September 20, 1986, and pay the same. <br /> <br />2) The City should notify the Harris County Appraisal District of this <br />Purchase, and ask that the property be rendered in the name of the <br />Ci ty of LaPorte, and placed on the exempt rolls. <br /> <br />It was a pleasure to have been of service to you in this matter. <br /> <br /> <br />Knox W.
