<br />THAT ELIZABETH V. WEEMS and BEN F. WEEMS, of Boulder County,

<br />Colorado, F. CARRINGTON WEEMS, of Harris County, Texas and FIRST CITY

<br />NATIONAL BANK OF HOUSTON, Trustee of the Wharton Weems Estate Trust for
<br />
<br />Elizabeth V. Weems, Ben F. Weems and F. Carrington Weems, of Harris

<br />County, Texas, hereinafter called Grantor, for and in consideration of

<br />the sum of Ten and NO/lOO Dollars ($10.00) cash and other good and
<br />
<br />'valuable considerations to me in hand paid by the CITY OF LA PORTE, a
<br />
<br />municipal corporation of Harris County, Texas, hereinafter called
<br />
<br />Grantee, whose mailing address is Post Office Box 1115, La Porte, Texas
<br />
<br />77571, receipt of which is hereby acknowledged and confessed, have
<br />
<br />GRANTED, SOLD and CONVEYED, and by these presents do GRANT, SELL and
<br />
<br />CONVEY unto the said Grantee, the following described property, to-wit:

<br />Lots 1 through 8, and 19 through 24, in Block 1249,
<br />in Town of La Porte, in Harris County, Texas, according
<br />to the map or plat thereof recorded in Volume 60, Page
<br />112, of the Deed Records of Harris County, Texas.
<br />
<br />Grantor reserves unto itself, its heirs, executors, administrators,
<br />
<br />assigns and successors in trust, all of the oil, gas and other minerals
<br />
<br />to be produced and saved from the above described land, without right
<br />
<br />to use the surface for exploration or production of said minerals.
<br />
<br />TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the above described premises, together with
<br />
<br />all and singular, the rights and appurtenances thereto in any wise
<br />
<br />belonging unto the said Grantee, its successors and assigns forever.

<br />And Grantors, ELIZABETH V. WEEMS, BEN F. WEEMS and F. CARRINGTON WEEMS,

<br />do hereby bind themselves, their heirs, executors and administrators,

<br />to warrant and forever defend, all and singular the said pre~ises unto
