HARRIS, a widow, of Marion County, Indiana, hereinafter called Grantor (whether one. or more), for and in consideration of the sum of Ten and NO/lOO Dollars ($10.00) cash and other good and valuable considerations to me in hand paid by CITY OF LA PORTE,'~ a municipal corporation" whose mailing address is Post Office Box 5 Z 1115, La Porte, Texas 77571, hereinafter called Grantee (whether one or more), receipt of which is hereby acknowledged and confessed, have GRANTED, SOLD and CONVEYED, and by these presents do GRANT, .r SELL and CONVEY unto the said Grantee, the following described pro- perty, to-wit: All of Lots. 17 through 24, inclusive, in Block 1450, Town of La Porte in Harris County, Texas, according to the map thereof recorded in Volume 60, Page 112, of the Deed Re~ords of Harris County, Texas in ') TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the above described premises, together with all and singular, the rights and appurtenances thereto in any wise belonging unto the said Grantee, his heirs and assigns forever~ And Grantor does hereby bind himself, his heirs, executors and adminis- trators, to warrant and forever defend, all and singular the said premises unto the said Grantee, his' heirs and assigns, against every person whomsoever claiming or to claim the same or any part thereof. Taxes for the current year have been prorated and are assumed by Grantee. This conveyance is made subject to all and singular the restrictions, conditions, oil, gas, and other mineral reservations, easements, and covenants, if any, applicable to and enforceable against the above described property as reflected by the records of the county clerk of the aforesaid county.
