Meyer, Et~ Ux., which has been recorded under <br />Harris County Clerk's file No. K799017, and the City's OWner Title Policy in the <br />amount of the purchase price, $28,800.00, subject only to the matters shown <br />thereon. <br /> <br />The original Deed and Title policY should be put in the City's permanent Real <br />Estate Records. ' ' <br /> <br />The' following additional steps should be taken by the City: <br /> <br />1) The City was credited with tax proration to the date of the Deed, <br />August 11, 1986, at closing. The City should obtain 1986 tax' bills, <br />when available, fran each of the taxing agencies, on a prorated <br />basis fran January I, 1986 through August 11, 1986, and pay the same. <br /> <br />2) The City should notify the Harris County Appraisal District of this <br />Purchase, and ask that the property be rendered in the name of the <br />City of LaPorte, and placed on the exempt rolls. <br /> <br />It was a pleasure to have been of ,service to you in this matter. <br /> <br />t1t~lY' <br /> <br />Knox W.
