Herrera <br />City Manager <br />City of LaPorte <br />City Hall <br />LaPorte, Texas <br /> <br />Re: l0 acre tract out of OUtlot 404 <br />Lanax Park <br /> <br />Dear Bob: <br /> <br />In connection with this purchase by the City of LaPorte, I enclose herewith the <br />City's original Deed, from Naegeli Properties, Inc., which has been recorded <br />under Harris County Clerk's file No. Ll29272 and the City's owner Title Policy in <br />the amount of $l35,000.00, subject only to the matters shown thereon. <br /> <br />The original Deed and Title policy should be put in the City's permanent Real <br />Estate Records. <br /> <br />The following additional steps should be taken by the City: <br /> <br />l) The City was credited with tax proration to the date of the Deed, <br />May 14, 1987, at closing. The City should obtain 1987 tax bills, when <br />available, from each of the taxing agencies, on a prorated <br />basis fran January 1, 1987 through May 14, 1987, and pay the same. <br /> <br />2) The City should notify the Harris County Appraisal District of this <br />Purchase, and ask that the property be rendered in the name of the <br />City of LaPorte, and placed on the exempt rolls. <br /> <br />It was a pleasure to have been of service to you in this matter. <br /> <br />Yours very truly, <br /> <br /> <br />.r <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />Knox W.
