EARNEST MONEY CONTRACT STATE OF TEXAS ~ ~ ~ COUNTY OF HARRIS 1. PARTIES: LIFE MANAGEMENT, (Seller) agrees to sell and convey to CITY OF LA PORTE, a municipal corporation (Buyer), and Buyer agrees to buy from Seller the following described property situated in Harris County, Texas. 2. PROPERTY: The property which is the subject of this contract is legally described as follows, to-wit: Lot 17, Block 1431, Town of La Porte, Harris County, Texas. 3. CONTRACT SALES PRICE: $ 550.00 4. EARNEST MONEY: No earnest money. 5. SURVEY: No survey. 6. TITLE POLICY: No title policy. 7. BROKER'S FEE: No broker. 8. CLOSING: February 7, 2007. 9. POSSESSION: The possession of the Property shall be delivered to Buyer at Closing. 10. CLOSING COSTS: Buyer to pay all closing costs. 11. TAXES: Buyer will assume all current and past due ad valorem taxes on the property. 12. DEFAULT: Unless otherwise provided for herein, if Buyer fails to comply herewith, Seller may either (i) enforce specific performance and seek such other relief as may be provided by law, or (ii) terminate this Contract and receive the earnest money as liquidated damages.
