<br />Know all men by these presents: That The United States ot
<br />Amerioa, acting by and through the War Assets Administrator, under and
<br />pursuant to Executive Order 96g9, dated January 31, 19~6, and the
<br />powers and authority contained in the provisions ot the Surplus Prop-
<br />erty Aot ot 1944, as amended, and applicable rules, regulations and
<br />orders, party ot the tirst part and the City ot La Porte, looated 1n
<br />Harris County, Texas, a body politic under the laws ot the State ot
<br />Texas, acting by and through its Mayor, party ot the second part,

<br />ation ot the assumption by the part1 ot the second part of all the
<br />obligat1ons and its taking subject to certain reservations, restrict-
<br />ions and oonditions and its covenant to ablde by and agreement to
<br />certain other reservations, re.str1ct10ns and oo~di tione, all as set
<br />out hereinatter, does by these presents bargain, sell, grant, and
<br />convey but without warranty, express or imp1ied~ unto the said party
<br />ot the second part, its successors and assigns, under and subject to
<br />t~e reservations, restrictions and conditions, exceptions, and rights
<br />hereinatter set out, all its right, title and interest in the tollow-
<br />ing deecribed property situate in the County ot Harris, State ot
<br />Texas, tC-vit:
<br />All that certain piece or parcel ot land situated in the
<br />County ot Harris, State ot Texas, more particularly described as
<br />tollows: Being allot Lots 1, 2, and 3, and part of Lot ~, Block 1,
<br />part ot Lots 1 to 5, inclusive, Block 2, and part ot the road lying
<br />between said Block. 1 and 2, W. J. Payne Subdiv1sion (according to a
<br />plat recorded 1n the records of Barris County, in Deed Record Books
<br />384 at page 161), and be1ng more part1cularly described as tollows:

<br />thence due south 3160.2 teet along the east line ot sald V.X. Jones,
<br />Survey, to its interseotlon with the northerly line ot the right ot
