Herrera <br />City Manager <br />Ci ty of LaPorte <br />City Hall . <br />LaPorte, Texas <br /> <br />Re: All of Lots 3, 4, and 5, Block 1263 <br />Town. of LaPorte, Harris County, Texas~ (Golf Course Site) <br /> <br />Dear Bob: <br /> <br />In connection with this purchase by the City of LaPorte, I enclose herewith the <br />City's original Deed, fran LaPorte Independent School District, which has been <br />recorded umer Harris County Clerk's file No. K837513, and tile City's owner Title <br />Policy in the amount of the purchase price, $2,118.67, subject only to the <br />matters shown thereon. <br /> <br />The original Deed and Title policy should be put in the City's permanent Real <br />Estate Records. <br /> <br />The following additional steps should be taken by the City: <br /> <br />1) The City was credited with tax proration to the date of the Deed, <br />November 4, 1986, at closing. The City should obtain 1986 tax bills, when <br />available, fran each of the taxing agencies, on a prorated <br />basis fran January 1, 198~ through November ~, 1986, and pay the Sante. <br /> <br />2) The City should notify the Harris County Appraisal District of this <br />Purchase, and ask that the property be rendered in the name of the <br />City of LaPorte, and placed on the exenpt rolls. <br /> <br />It was a pleasure to have been .of service to you in this matter. <br /> <br /> <br />Knox W.
