Hall <br />LaPorte, Texas <br /> <br />Re: Lots 17 through 29, inclusive, Block 1264 <br />Town of LaPorte <br /> <br />Dear Bob: <br /> <br />In connection with this purchase by the City of LaPorte, I enclose herewith the <br />City's original Deed, fram Children's Services of Central New York, Inc., which <br />has been recorded under Harris County Clerk's file No. L166194 and the City's <br />OWner Title Policy in the amount of the purchase price, $3,200.00, subject only <br />to the matters shown thereon. <br /> <br />The original Deed and Title Policy should be put in the City's pe~nent Real <br />Estate Records. <br /> <br />The following additional steps should be taken by the City: <br /> <br />1) The City was credited with tax proration to the date of the Deed, <br />March 11, 1987, at Closing. The City should obtain 1987 tax bills, when <br />available, fram each of the taxing agencies, on a prorated <br />basis fram January 1, 1987 through March 11, 1987, and pay the same. <br /> <br />2) The City should notify the Harris County Appraisal District of this <br />Purchase, and ask that the property be rendered in the name of the <br />Ci ty of LaPorte, and placed on the exanpt rolls. <br /> <br />It was a pleasure to have been of service to you in this matter. <br /> <br />Yoz;~ <br /> <br />Knox W.
