Block ~ <br /> <br />We sent HFH information to J.E. Cook, La Porte Land Co. <br />~everal weeks ago and had a follow up personal contact on 11/8. <br />Decker McKim has assisted us in presentfng the requ~st for some <br />sort of commi tment for the 13 'lots in Block 128. Cook has ver- <br />bally indicated to McKim that he will donate the property to HFH <br />if we pick up the back taxes. Contacts with the tax offices <br />provides the following: City of L.P. ',73-'74 $362.66; L.P.I.S.D., <br />'39-'74 $3830.69, '74, only $24,4.88. HCAD value of three (3) <br />adjacent empty lots is $6500. HFH will have to evaluate the <br />impact of. the tax burden until the tracts can be built out and <br />transferred to our selected fami1ies.
