Of course I'm talking about the former President Jimmy and Rosalynn <br />Carter. They deserve our thanks, as do ~ll the people behind Habitat for Humanity." <br /> <br />Jerry John Rawlings, Bead of the Ghana Government, <br />said in a personal letter to.{ormer President Jimmy Carter, "1 appreciate the outstanding contribution <br />that Habitat for Humanity will make to rural housing in Ghana and will help to insure the success of <br />its operations." <br /> <br /> <br />. . <br /> <br />Former President Jimmy, Carter on his long standing ,partnership <br />with Habitat for Humanity said, '!I'velearned more about the needy than 1 ever did <br />as a governor, as a candidate, or as a president. ' . , <br /> <br /> <br />For~er Mayor of Atlanta Andrew Young in his speech <br />from the stepsofthe Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C., during the 1988 <br />House-Raising Walk, said, "Habitat is ready to challenge America to accept <br />the responsibility that housing is a basic human right. Millard Fuller and <br />Habitat for Humani~ have raised the issue of habitat, housing, and shelter <br />for God's people in need all over the world as a basic human right that can be <br />realized in out time." <br /> <br />. .
