<br />e <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />Maxim <br /> <br />ENVIRONMENTAL SITE ASSESSMENT <br />OF <br />Vacant Land <br />Intersection, of Broadway Street and West "F" Street <br />La Porte, Texas <br /> <br />EXECU1TVES~ARY <br /> <br />In accordance with our proposal dated October 21, 1997, Maxim TeChnologies, Inc. (Maxim) <br />performed an ESA of the above-referenced property (hereinafter, the site) for Coca-Cola <br />Enterprises Inc. The scope of service, ot>jectives, extent arid limitations of the services of this <br />report are described in more detail in the text of the report. <br /> <br />· The site is located at Intersection of Broadway Street and West "F" Street, La Porte, <br />Harris County, Texas, as illustrated on Figure I-Site Location Map~ The site is currently <br />vacant land. Adjoining properties consist of a lumber company across from West "E" <br />Street to the north, a church and residential area across from West "F" Street to the <br />south, La Porte Elementary School across from Broadway Street to the east, and <br />residential area across from. First Street to the west. For purposes of this ESA, the term <br />"adjoining property," as defined by the ASTM standard means properties which border <br />or, are contiguous or partially contiguous with the site or would be so but for 'a street, <br />road or other public thoroughfare separating them. A legal description of the site, as <br />provided by Realty Data Services is included within the appendices of this report. <br /> <br />.. Historically, the site is yacant land. The site has been owned by the Houston Coca-Cola <br />Bottling Company, a retail business, a realty company, and several individuals. The <br />adjoining properties to the north, south, and e3:st appear to be commercial developments. <br />The surrounding areas to the east appear to be the residential areas. <br /> <br />· No NPL or' CERCLIS FaciIlties, State Superfund Facilities, TNRCC permitted solid <br />waste landfills, Open Dumps, RCRA violators, ERNS or records of hazardous material <br />releases or spills were identified within the search radius. Four State Registered Leaking <br />UST facilities and two' registered UST facilities were identified within the' search radii. <br />. Based on the distance from the site, and' topographic gradient of ~hese facilities, it is <br />u~likely that these facilities present any environme~tal ,concerns to the site at this time <br /> <br />. , <br />, · The site is located in -a 100-year floodplain. <br /> <br />, . <br />We have performed a Phase I Environmental Site Assessment in conformance with scope and <br />limitations of ASTM Practice E 1527 of the subject site., Any exceptions to, or deletions <br />from, this practice are described in Section 2.0 of this report. This assessment has revealed <br />no evidence of recognized environmental conditions in connection with the subject site. <br />
