<br />City of La Porte, State and County of Harris and La Porte I.S.D.
<br />against Fred & Elizabeth Hartman
<br />on a certain judgment and decree of sale, rendered on the llth day of August, 1976
<br />, and directed and delivered to me as Constable, Precinct No. 1, of Harris County, Texas, com-
<br />manding me to 'seize and sell the premises described in said order of sale, I,Walter H. Rankin, Constable,
<br />Precinct No. 1, of Harris County, Texas, did, upon the 17thay of May, 1977 , levy
<br />upon and advertise for sale the said land and premises described in said order of sale, by having a notice
<br />of the sale published in the English language once a week for three consecutive weeks preceding the day
<br />of the sale, in the HOUSTONIAN _
<br />a newspaper published in Harris County, Texas, the first of said publications appearing not less than
<br />twenty days immediately preceding the day of the sale; said notice of sale containing a statement of the
<br />authority by virtue of which the sale is to be made, the time of levy, time and place of sale; also a brief
<br />description of the property to be sold, the number of acres, original survey, locality in the county, and
<br />the name by which the land is most generally known. I also mailed to Fred & Elizabeth Hartman
<br />of the above named defendants a notice of the sale, directed to 11I(MX them)p)6Xd( at his postoffice.
<br />On the first Tuesday in July, 1977 , same being the 5th day of July, 1977
<br />between the hours of ten o'clock a. m., and four o'clock p.m., I sold said hereinafter described land
<br />and premises at public vendue in the County of Harris, State of Texas, at the door of the Court House
<br />of said Harris County, Texas, and the premises hereinafter described were struck off to
<br />City of La Porte. State and County Of Harris and La Porte I.S.D.
<br />Bid 100 Four hundred fourteen and 52/`-------- 4.52
<br />for theme( of _. —($41� ) Dollars,
<br />they being the highest and best bidder therefor.
<br />NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the premises aforesaid, and of the payment of the said
<br />sum of Ninety. six and .08/100------------ _($ 96.08 ) Dollars, the receipt of which
<br />is hereby acknowledged, I, Walter H. Rankin, Constable, Precinct No. 1, of Harris County, Texas, have
<br />granted, sold and conveyed, and by these presents do grant, sell and convey unto the said
<br />City of La Porte, State and County of Harris and La Porte, I.S.D.
<br />all of the estate, right, title and interest which the said Fred_& Elizabeth Hartman
<br />had on the 5th day of July, 1977 or at any time afterwards, in and to
<br />the following land and premises, as described in said order of sale, viz.,
<br />Block 423, Lots 4 & 5, La Porte, Harris County, Texas.
