<br />tion of Houston, Harris County, Texas, acting here-
<br />in by and through its duly authorized officers, for
<br />and in consideration of the sum of TEN DOLLARS ($lO.OO)
<br />and other considerations to it paid by the City of
<br />La Porte, a municipal corporation in Harris County,
<br />Texas, the receipt and sufficiency of which are here-
<br />by acknowledged, has granted and conveyed, and by
<br />these presents does grant and convey unto said City
<br />of La Porte an easement under and across the follow~

<br />ing described strip of land in the City of La Porte,

<br />Harris County, Texas, to-wit:

<br />The EAST sixteen (16) feet of Block
<br />THREE HUNDRED EIGHTEEN (318) of the
<br />City of La Porte in Harris County,
<br />Texas, according to the map thereof
<br />filed for record on November 24, 1926,
<br />under Harris County Clerk's File Num-
<br />ber 262,086( being a strip of land
<br />sixteen (16) feet in width by four
<br />hundred (400) feet in length off the
<br />East side of said block ~arallel with
<br />and adjoining First (1st) Avenue.

<br />TO HAVE and TO HOLD the above described

<br />easement unto said City of La Porte, its successors
<br />
<br />and assigns, for the purpose of constructing and main-
<br />and other ~blic utilities
<br />taining underground water, sewer and gas lines,/pro-

<br />vided that Grantor", Bayou Properties Company, itfJ suc-
<br />cessors and assigns, may connect on to such lines,

<br />and provided that following any work which may be

<br />done on said easement that the City of La Porte

<br />agrees promptly to restore said easement to the same
