<br />~Ia-' . <br /> <br />. e <br /> <br />METES AND BOUNDS DESCRIPTION <br />OLD LA PORTE - HOUSTON ROAD <br />F. A. STAASHEN SUBDIVISION <br /> <br />Being a portion of a tract' of land known as old La Porte- <br />Houston Road located in Lot 9 of the F. A. Staashen Tract <br />according to the map recorded in Volume 1, Page 22, Map Records <br />of Harris County, Texas. This trac,t of land is part of that <br />certain 60.00 feet wide strip of land referred to as old <br />abandoned La Porte-Houston Road in that certain transaction where- <br />by F. N. Staashen conveyed Lots 8 and 9" of the F. A. Staashen <br />Subdivision to A. W. Hill on April 14, 1948 as evidenced by the <br />instrument recorded in Volume 1760, Page 93 of the Harris Coun~y <br />Deed Records. This particular part of the aforementioned tract <br />is further described as Tract B (2.7189 Acres) in that certain <br />transaction where-by A. W. Hill conveyed certain properties to I. <br />W. Hickham, Jr., on March 27, 1972 according to the instrument <br />recorded under Harris County Clerk's File No. D 560280. In this <br />instrument the tract is referred to as old Houston-La Porte <br />Road. This portion of the old La Porte-Houston Road is more <br />particularly described by metes and bounds as follows: <br /> <br />Beginning at the Northwest corner of this tract of land and <br />from which a copperweld was found South 1 degree 21 minutes 49 <br />seconds West; a distance of 0.17 feet. This corner is also the <br />Northwest corner of the aforementioned 2.7189 acre tract conveyed <br />to I. W. Bickham, Jr. by A. W. Hill and the Northeast corner of <br />that certain 2.978 acre tract of land conveyed by A. W. Hill to <br />Humble Pipeline Company on August 23, 1966, as evidenced by the <br />deed recorded in Volume 6486, Page 401, Harris County Deed <br />Records <br /> <br />Thence, South 69 degrees 43 minutes 43 seconds East; <br />coincident with the North right-of-way line of the old Houston - <br />La Porte Road and the South boundary line of the original one <br />hundred feet wide G. H. & S. A. railroad right-oi-way; a distance <br />of 1936.60 feet to a point for the Northeast corner of this tract <br />and from which a 3/4 inch iron pipe was found South 84 degrees 36 <br />minutes 18 seconds West; a distance of 1.01 feet. <br /> <br />Thence, South 0 degrees 29 minutes 38 seconds West; a <br />distance of 63.76. feet to a point for the Southeast corner of <br />this tract and from which a 3/4 inch iron pipe was found North 0 <br />degrees 29 minutes 38 seconds East; a distance of 0.51 feet and a <br />5/8 inch iron rod was found South 84 degree3 30 minutes 11 <br />seconds West a distance of 0.93 feet. <br /> <br />Thence, North 69 degrees 43 minutes 43 seconds West; <br />coincident with the South right-of-way line of old Houston- <br />La Porte Road and the North line of that certain 10.00 feet wide <br />easement granted to Houston Lighting and Power Company on October <br />29, 1925 as evidenced by the instrument recorded in Volume 572, <br />Page 520, Harris County Deed Records; a distance of 1,974.62 feet <br />to a one inch iron rod found for the Southwest corner. <br /> <br />Exhibit "e" <br />Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br />ftt"'I!oTE! <br />
