<br />hereinafter called the Grantor (whether one or more) for and in
<br />consideration of the sum of TEN DOLLARS ($10.00) and other good
<br />and valuable consideration, cash to us in hand paid by the Ci ty of
<br />La Porte, a municipality, the receipt and sufficiency of which is
<br />hereby acknowledged and confessed, have this day GRANTED, BARGAINED,
<br />SOLD AND CONVEYED and by these presents do GRANT, SELL, AND CONVEY
<br />unto the said CITY OF LA .POR'rE, TEXAS, and to its successors and
<br />assigns'the perpetual right, privilege and easement, with appropriate
<br />rights of ingress and e'gress and reasonable working area for con-
<br />struction and maintenance, to enter upon and construct, reconstruct,
<br />maintain, operate, inspect, replace, repair and remove a
<br />potable water main and related aopurtenances ,
<br />together with all necessary improvements over and across certain
<br />lands and premises owned by the said Grantor, the land and premises
<br />being burdened with said easement being described as follows, to-wit:

<br />Being a 16.00 feet wide utility easement over a portion of 28.3135 acre tract
<br />shown on a survey by Irving C. Peabody in June of 1974;' said 28.-3-13-5 a'cre.'tra'ct is '
<br />out of Lot 9, F. A. Staashen Subdivision, Enoch Brinson Survey, A-5, Harris County,
<br />Texas, according to the plat recorded in Volume 1, Page 22 of the Harris County Map
<br />Records. The 16.00 feet wide utility easement is more particularly described by
<br />metes and bounds as follows;

<br />Commencing at the Southeast corner of Lot 8 and the Southwest corner of Lot 9
<br />in the Staashen Subdivision;
<br />
<br />Thence, N 890 441 0911 E (Call N 890 431 17" E), a distance of 493.17 feet to a
<br />iron rod with brass cap found for the Southwest corner of the aforesaid 28.3135
<br />acre tract.
<br />
<br />Thence, N 10 21149" E (Call N 10 20' 57" E) a distance of 943.33 feet to a
<br />point coincident with the West boundary line of the 28.3135 acre tract and the
<br />South right-of-way line of the Old Houston - La Porte Road.

<br />Thence, S 690 431 4311 E, coincident with the South right-of-way line of Old
<br />Houston - La Porte Road (Based on a width 60.00 feet), a distance of 948.13 feet
<br />to the Northwest corner of the 16.00 feet wide utility easement and the POINT OF
<br />BEGINNING.

<br />Thence, S 690 431 4311 E, coincident with the South right-of-way line of Old
<br />Houston - La Porte Road, a distance of 16.00 feet to the Northeast corner of 16.00
<br />feet wide utility easement.

<br />Thence, S 200 19151" W a distance of 430.00 feet to.the Southeast corner ,of
<br />the 16.00 feet wi de util ity easement. . . - ",' .

<br />Thence, N 690 43' 4311 W a distance of 16.00 feet to the Southwest corner of
