<br />AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING AND CLOSING THE STREETS AND
<br />ALLEYS LYING WITHIN A 96.242 ACRE TRACT OF LAND OUT OF THE T. W..
<br />LEE SUBDIVISION OF A PORTION OF THE RICHARD PEARSALL 1/3 LEAGUE,
<br />A-625, HARRIS COUNTY, TEXAS; FINDING COMPLIANCE WITH THE OPEN
<br />MEETINGS LAW; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF.
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of La Porte has been
<br />requested by the record owner of all of the property described
<br />by metes and" bounds on Exhibit "A" attached hereto, incorporated
<br />by reference herein, and made a part her~oC for all purposes,
<br />to vacate, abandon, and permanently close the streets and alleys
<br />lying within said 96.242 acre tract of land, with the exceptions
<br />
<br />noted on Exhibit "A" attached hereto; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of La Porte has deter-
<br />mined, and does hereby find t. determine and declare that the.
<br />streets and alleys situated within said 96.242 acre 'tract, except
<br />
<br />as noted on Exhibit "An attached hereto, a,re not suitable, needed,
<br />or beneficial to the public as:public a~leys, roads, or streets,
<br />and that the closing of said streets and alleys wil~ be for the
<br />protection of t~e'public and for the public interest and benefit,
<br />and that the said streets and alleys should therefore be vacated,
<br />
<br />abandoned, and permanently closed;

<br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
<br />CITY OF LA PORTE:
<br />
<br />Section'l. Under and by virtue of the power granted to
<br />
<br />the City of ~a Porte under its Horne Rule Charter and Chap. 13,
<br />Title 28, Art. 1175, of the Revised Civil Statues of the State
<br />
<br />of Texas,' 1925, all of the streets and alleys situated within
<br />a 96.242 acre tract of land of the T. W. Lee Subdivision of '.
<br />
<br />a portion of the Richard Pearsall 1/3 League, A-625, Harris
<br />
<br />-'
<br />
<br />County, Texas, according to the plat of record in Volume 67,
<br />Page 1, of the Hat"ris County Deed Recot"ds, and being more par-
<br />ticularly described by metes and bounds on Exhibit nAn attached
<br />hereto, incorporated by refet"ence het"ein, and made a part hereof
