JOE PAPER COMPANY <br /> <br />of Port St. Joe, Florida <br />HEREINAFTER CALLED THE GRANTOR (whether one or more) for and in <br /> <br />consideration o:f the sum of Ten Doll ars and 00/100 -------------------- <br />and other good and valuable consideration, cash to Us in hand paid <br />by the City of La Porte, Texas, a municipality, the receipt and <br />sufficiency of which is hereby acknowledged and confessed, have <br />this day GRANTED, BARGAINED, SOLD AND CONVEYED and by these presents <br />do GRANT, BARGAIN, SELL, AND CONVEY unto the said CITY OF LA PORTE, <br />TEXAS, a municipality, and to its successors and assigns the per- <br />petual right, privilege and easement, with appropriate rights of <br />ingress and egress and reasonable working area for construction <br />and maintenance, to enter upon and construct, reconstruct, main- <br />tain, operate, inspect, replace, r~pair and remove a <br /> <br />1211 Water Main <br />together with all necessary improvements over and across certain <br />lands and premises owned by the said Grantor, and located in the <br /> <br />Enoch Brinson Survey, Abstract Number 5 <br />in Harris County, Texas, the property being burdened with said <br />easement being described in a deed from H. C. Cockburn <br /> <br />E. I. Du Pont de Nemours & Company dated <br /> <br />March 29, 1944 <br /> <br />to <br /> <br />and recorded in Volume 1318 ,Page 364 , in the Deed <br />Records of Harris County, Texas, and further described below. <br /> <br />Being a 10.00 feet utility easement across that certain 822.154 acre tract <br />described in a deed dated March 29, 1944 from H. C. Cockburn to E. I. Du Pont <br />de Nemours and Company, recorded in Volume 1318, Page 364 of the Harris County <br />Deed Records. The 10.00 feet utility easement is more particularly described <br />by metes and bounds as follows; <br /> <br />Beginning at the Southwest Corner of the aforesaid 822.154 acre tract; said <br />point being also the Southwest corner of this easement. <br /> <br />Thence, N 000181 W; co-incident with the West boundary line of the 822.154 <br />acre tract which is the West boundary line of the Enoch Brinson Survey and the <br />East boundary of the Nicholas Clopper Survey; a distance of 1823.0 feet to a <br />point for the Northwest corner of the easement and the Northwest corner of the <br />822.154 acre tract. <br /> <br />Thence, East; co-incident with the North boundary line of the 822.154 acre <br />tract and the South boundary line of the subdivision of the Strang Tract as <br />recorded in Volume 75, Page 22 of the Harris County Deed Records; a distance <br />of 10.00 feet to the Northeast corner of this easement. <br /> <br />Thence, S 000181 E; parallel with and 10.00 feet East of the West boundary <br />line of the 822.154 acre; a distance of 1823.0 feet to a point for the Southeast <br />corner of this easement. <br /> <br />Thence, S 8904012511 W; co-incident with the South boundary line of the 822.154 <br />acre tract and the most northerly North boundary line of that certain 19.556 acre <br />tract as conveyed by Southern Pacific Transportation Company to "Houston Lighting <br />and Power Company according to the deed recorded under Harris County Clerk's <br />File No. D417662, Film Code No. 134-23-0873; a distance of 10.00 feet to the <br />POINT OF BEGINNING. <br />
