<br />THAT I, Joseph David Bowers, of Harris County, Texas,

<br />hereinafter called the Grantor (whether one or more) for and in

<br />consideration of the sum of Ten and NO/100 Dollars ($10.00) cash and

<br />other good and valuable considerations, to us in hand paid by the

<br />City of La Porte, a municipal corporation, of Harris County, Texas,

<br />the rece ipt and sufficien'cy of which is hereby acknowledged and

<br />confessed, have this day GRANTED, BARGAINED, SOLD AND CONVEYED and,
<br />by these presents does GRANT, BARGAIN, SELL AND CONVEY unto the said

<br />CITY OF LA 'PORTE, TEXAS, a municipal corporation, its successors and
<br />assigns, for use by the City of La Porte, the perpetual right,

<br />privilege and easement, with appropriate rights of ingress and
<br />
<br />egress and reasonable working area for construction and maintenance,
<br />
<br />to enter upon and construct, reconstruct, maintain, operate,
<br />
<br />inspect, replace, repair and remove, a twelve inch (12ft) water line
<br />
<br />and facilities, over and across certain lands and premises owned by
<br />
<br />the said Grantor, and located in in Harris County, Texas, said
<br />
<br />easement being more particularly described as a ten foot (10') wide
<br />
<br />strip of land, immediately south of and contiguous to the right-of-
<br />way of Spencer Highway, based on one hundred foot (100') right-of-
<br />
<br />way width, the property being burdened with said ten foot (10') wide
<br />water line easement being more particularly described as follows,
