Box 1115 <br />LaPorte, Texas 77571 <br />RE: Construction Progress Report <br />LaPorte Cable TV Project <br />Dear Mayor Meza: <br />713-477-2581 <br />For purposes of keeping all appropriate parties informed, I thought a brief <br />written Periodic progress report as to the events that have taken place to <br />date in `the LaPorte Cable TV project would be in order. <br />1. The strand mapping process was completed last week. This is a major step <br />in constructing a cable TV system and makes it possible for us to progress <br />to the design stage. <br />2. Desig0. <br />n of the system is underway at the moment and should be completed by <br />May 15 unless there are unexpected delays. As soon as the design is completed <br />we will be able to commence electronics and other necessary materials. <br />3. A tenative site has been selected for the transmitter and communications <br />operations. At the moment we are in the process of completing Microwave <br />Path Profile Studies, Compucon Microwave Studies, site borings and obtaining <br />FCC clearances, etc. Assuming that the location "passes muster" we hope to <br />conclude this issue within the next few weeks. <br />4. A number of contracts are under negotiation for construction of building, <br />microwave equipment, transmitting equipment, cable and other requirements <br />that are necessary to build a system. Everything appears to be on schedule <br />or ahead of schedule at the moment. <br />5. All franchise requirements concerning insurance, permits, etc. required to <br />date have been forwarded to the City Clerk.
