CenterPoint CenterPoint Energy <br /> 1111 Louisiana Street <br /> Energy Houston,TX 77002-5231 <br /> October 11,2019 P.O.Box 2628 <br /> Houston,TX 77252-2628 <br /> Mayor and City Council <br /> City of La Porte <br /> La Porte, Texas <br /> Re: CenterPoint Energy's Notice of Intent to Reflect a Refund for the Texas Coast Division <br /> pursuant to Section 104.111 of the Gas Utility Regulatory Act <br /> Dear Madam or Sir: <br /> On August 1,2019, CenterPoint Energy Resources Corp., d/b/a CenterPoint Energy Entex <br /> and CenterPoint Energy Texas Gas ("CenterPoint"or the"Company")made a filing with the City <br /> of La Porte (the "City") pursuant to Section 104.111 of GURA for customers in the Texas Coast <br /> Division, which includes the City, to reflect a net refund for certain deferred income taxes and <br /> Hurricane Harvey restoration expenses. On August 16, 2019, CenterPoint made a supplemental <br /> filing ("August Supplemental Filing") to amend its August 1st net refund amount to include <br /> additional Hurricane Harvey proceeds. <br /> In order to resolve the Company's pending 104.111 filing, CenterPoint is making this 2nd <br /> Supplemental Filing ("October Supplemental Filing") to remove from its August Supplemental <br /> Filing approximately $1,207,610 in Hurricane Harvey restoration costs incurred by CenterPoint's <br /> Houston and Texas Coast Divisions as a direct result of Hurricane Harvey. CenterPoint may <br /> request recovery of the Hurricane Harvey restoration costs in its next statement of intent filing in <br /> the divisions. The result of removing such costs from the filing increases the amount to be <br /> refunded to customers in the Houston and Texas Coast Divisions from$16,556,357 to$17,763,968 <br /> (the "Amended Refund"). The Amended Refund will be effective on bills rendered on or after <br /> January 1, 2020 and amortized over three years. <br /> As shown in the enclosed documents, the Amended Refund, over three years, is <br /> approximately $17.8 million for customers in the Houston and Texas Coast Divisions, combined. <br /> The estimated per customer,per bill,Amended Refund for each class is as follows: <br />
