The approved fire control, prevention, and emergency medical services plan is designed to enhance public safety in the City of La Porte and specifies methods for annually evaluating the effectiveness and efficiency of the individual fire control, prevention, said emergency medical services stmn;gics identifrcd in the plan. These strategies to he supported by the District include funding for a Safety/Training Officer fur the csarmtial training of On members of the City's Fire Department and new fire response and technology equipment. The plan also provides for an emergency medical services technology and capital equipment program to replace the aging vehicle fleet on a systematic basis thereby decreasing down -time and increasing response reliability and to replace mission critical medical devices in order to perform accurate and timely diagnosis and treatment. The approved plan will provide funding for personnel to attend training classes and seminars, and to keep the fire training facility fimctioning to insure the development of future fire fighters. The approved budget plan provides die necessary resources to further the purposes of the approved fire control, prevention, and emergency medical services plan.
