<br /> <br /> <br />JAY MARTIN CHUCK ENGELKEN <br /> <br />CHAIRMAN MEMBER <br /> <br />TREY KENDRICK BILL BENTLEY <br />MEMBER ALTERNATE <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />MINUTES OF THE DRAINAGE AND FLOODING COMMITTEE MEETING <br />MAY 10, 2021 <br />The Drainage and Flooding Committee of the City of La Porte met on Monday, May 10, 2021, at the City <br />Hall Council Chambers, 604 West Fairmont Parkway, La Porte, Texas, at 5:00 p.m. to consider the <br />following items of business: <br />Committee Members present: Jay Martin, Chuck Engelken <br />Committee Members attending remotely: None <br />Committee Members absent: Trey. Kendrick, Bill Bentley <br />Council-appointed officers present: Corby Alexander, City Manager, Lee Woodward, City Secretary; Clark <br />T. Askins, Assistant City Manager attended remotely <br />CALL TO ORDER Chairman Martin called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m. <br />2. CITIZEN COMMENT (Generally limited to five minutes per person, in accordance with state law, the time <br />may be reduced if there is a high number of speakers or other considerations.) <br />There were no citizen comments. <br />3. STATUTORY AGENDA <br />a.Presentation, discussion, and possible action to approve the minutes of the <br />April 12, 2021, meeting. \[Chairman Martin\] <br />Member Engelken moved to approve the minutes; Chair Martin seconded the motion; the motion was <br />adopted, 2-0. <br /> <br />b. Presentation, discussion, and possible action regarding <br />drainage and floodplain standards. \[Lorenzo Wingate, Assistant Director of Public Works\] <br /> <br />Lorenzo Wingate, Assistant Public Works Director, introduced Candyce Ward, Principal, Cobb, Fendley, <br />to provide a presentation on their evaluation of the new Harris County Flood Control District (HCFCD) <br />floodplain regulations.
