Askins, Asst. City Attorney <br />CALL TO ORDERChairman Martincalled the meeting to order at5:00p.m. <br />2. CITIZENCOMMENT (Generally limited to five minutes per person, in accordance with state <br />law, the time may be reduced if there is a high number of speakers or other considerations.) <br />There were no comments. <br />3. STATUTORY AGENDA <br />a.Presentation, discussion, and possible action to approve the minutes of the <br />Drainage and Flooding Committee regular meeting held on November 14, 2022. \[Jay <br />Martin, Chair\] <br />Member Engelkenmoved to approve the minutes;the motion was seconded by Member <br />Williams;the motionwas adopted, 3-0. <br />b.Presentation, discussion, and possible action regarding the status 100-acre-foot <br />detention pond project near the PasadenaConvention Center and Brookglen <br />Subdivisionas established in amended interlocal agreement between the City of La <br />Porte and the City of Pasadena. \[Lorenzo Wingate, Assistant Director of Public <br />Works\] <br />Ray Mayo, Director of Public Works,said the consultant was reviewing comments from <br />HarrisCounty and hoped to respond to them by January 27. Regarding the jurisdictional <br />determination, there has been no potential wetlands impact determination by the U.S. <br />Army Corps of Engineers as of yet and a response is due by early February.Mr. Mayo <br />and Mr. Alexander confirmed they were not aware of Harris County filing a street closure <br />at Brookglen. <br />c.Presentation, discussion, and possible action regarding the Harris County Flood <br />ent and future plans <br />related to flooding in the City of La Porte. \[Lorenzo Wingate, Assistant Director of <br />Public Works\] <br />January 9, 2023-Drainage and Flooding Committee Minutes <br /> <br />
